Anna Capolupo's painting tends to create a mysterious environment of heterogeneous cultures through a poetic research that revolves around the object, the life of the object inside and outside the domestic space and the dream, the oneiric world. At Spazio Su he has recreated an environment in which to find the disconnected traces of a past. Stories that unfold almost theatrically in the form of still lifes, on large sheets of paper suspended and tied together with braided ribbons. The braid, which in many popular cultures holds thoughts together. Something, therefore, that returns in the form of a dream as a marginal residue of everyday life. Which clashes strongly with time, which creates a thin crack from which to observe things, which is sometimes the only guide towards a meaning, a meaning that the artist attributes to painting, here and now, as the language of a desire unsatisfied by everyday reality.
"When you feel sad child, braid your hair."
